The EVA Air Amenity Kit have long been one of the better business class kits for commercial airline travel. Earlier in the year, Eva Air stopped offering their Rimowa amenity kits on inbound flights to Taipei. Instead, they started offering a leather kit by Georg Jensen. While, it’s not shabby, it’s a big disappointment for those collectors that covet the Rimowa amenity kit. Usually, those kits are reserved for First Class cabins. Eva air was one rare exception. Below is a breakdown of the different kits.
The Gold Standard in terms of Business Class kits. These kits go over over $50 dollars on eBay! While the amenities are just ok, the case is very useful. It’s great to put small items such as jewelry, watches, and other valuables.
Rimowa “Salsa” style polycarbonate travel case
Clarins skincare products
Eva air microfiber cloth
Eva air comb
The big disappointment here is not having the Rimowa case. Where Eva Air skimped on the case, them seemed to put into actually having more premium amenities. For example, the microfiber cloth is dual sided with two different textures and the club is the most premium comb we have seen in a business class kit. Unfortunately, most people don’t actually use them!
Leather pouch with removable mini pouch
3Lab skincare products
George Hansen branded microfiber cloth
If you want to get the Rimowa Amenity kit, you better get it now before EVA Air phases it out completed (hopefully never!). For business travelers who frequent the airline, it doesn’t matter as much. But, for the civilian traveler, one needs to plan accordingly. We also noticed it was more difficult to find Super Saver discounted mileage redemption flights for EVA flights. If you want to get the Rimowa Amenity kit, you better get it now before EVA Air phases it out completed (hopefully never!).
